Is the Tokyo Marui Hi Capa 5.1 the best pound for pound airsoft pistol of them all?
There are a bunch of great pistols out there in the market.
Some are epic with a big price tag and some are cheaper and, well...
not so epic..
The Hi Capa 5.1 from the Tokyo Marui range manages to combine awesome functionality with an incredible price point.
Lets go over exactly why I think you would be crazy not to buy this gun for your loadout.
For a start Tokyo Marui basically invented the gas blowback, so they know what they are doing. The construction is made entirely from polymer. "What, not metal" I hear you cry, thats right and this is a good thing.
It makes the blowback on this 6mm gas powered pistol incredibly crisp, lightweight and gas efficient.
On the back you've got a beavertail safety grip combined with an ambidextrous hammer lock to prevent any unwanted firing.
The magazine is double stacked to enable it to hold more bb's than a standard 1911.
An attachable lower rail makes attaching torches and lasers a sinch and the skeletonized trigger finishes off the tactical look.
The accuracy of this semi automatic pistol is insane...
At around 80ft out we were getting an impressive grouping and the semi automatic nature and addition of a rear adjustable sight made shot groups a piece of cake.
the hop up is completely adjustable when the slide and lower portion are separated.
What about power?
Well, when we put this through a chronograph we were returning around 295 fps with a .20g bb..
And theres a good reason for the slightly lower fps.
being manufactured in japan, it comes under far stricter skirmish laws than in the US or UK and as a result is only allowed by law to return 295 fps.
This however should absolutely not put you off as part of its accuracy is due to the precise nature of the power output.
Accessories and green gas are easy to come by and coming in at under $150 represents excellent value for money when looking for a sidearm for your loadout.
It will be the best money you ever spent.
